Mr.Abe Sakunosuke's paper was published in an English academic journal. entitled Papers published in Materials" The large dielectric constant of ferroelectric nematic liquid crystals (FNLCs) seems to bring about difficulties in controlling molecular orientation in exchange for potential device applications. To obtain satisfactory and uniform molecular orientation, it is essential to understand how molecules are anchored near the orientation plane. In this study, we use a conventional torque balance model that incorporates a polarity fixing function to explain bulk molecular orientation due to antiparallel rubbing, which has not been widely studied, and to investigate the disappearance of bulk twisted orientation due to a decrease in cell thickness. We showed that it can be explained self-consistently.To verify this estimate in room-temperature FNLC materials, we used Brewster's angle reflection method to determine the deviation of the surface director from the rubbing direction due to fixation of the polar surface.
